Dr. Vijayalakshmi Y., M.B.B.S., MS (ENT), is a distinguished and highly skilled ENT specialist who has dedicated her career to providing exceptional medical care with a patient-centered approach. A Gold Medalist from NTR University, Vijayawada, Dr. Vijayalakshmi completed her medical education at the prestigious Alluri Seetharama Raju Academy of Medical Sciences, Elluru. She pursued her Master of Surgery (MS) in Otorhinolaryngology at the same institution, where she honed her expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of ENT disorders.
Dr. Vijayalakshmi has garnered extensive experience through various roles in both government and private healthcare institutions. She began her career as a Senior Resident at Khammam Government Hospital, where she developed a strong foundation in managing both outpatient and inpatient services. Her exceptional diagnostic skills, surgical expertise, and ability to handle emergencies made her a key asset to the medical team. Following her tenure at Khammam Government Hospital, she served as a consultant at a private hospital in Khammam, further expanding her clinical acumen.
Currently, Dr. Vijayalakshmi is an Assistant Professor at Mallareddy Medical College, Suraram, Hyderabad, where she plays a pivotal role in the academic development of undergraduate and postgraduate students. Her passion for teaching and her commitment to advancing medical knowledge are evident through her involvement in various seminars, workshops, and continuing medical education (CME) programs. She has presented numerous papers at national, state, and regional otorhinolaryngology conferences, contributing to the medical community's understanding of ENT disorders.
In addition to her academic responsibilities, Dr. Vijayalakshmi practices at SRI SWASTHA ENT AND GASTRO LIVER CLINICS in Narsingi, Hyderabad. Here, she offers advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services, specializing in procedures such as nasal endoscopies, laryngoscopies, and various ENT surgeries, including tracheostomy, septoplasty, and tympanoplasty. She is also proficient in managing complex head and neck surgeries and handling ENT emergencies.

We had our 7 year old daughter treated there for Adenoids and Tonsils. Vijay Lakshmi ma’am suggested surgery after a few tests she recommended like endoscopy (she does it herself) and CT scan.Initially we had a few apprehensions but she gave us confidence that nothing to worry about surgery (like many, we were also scared with the word surgery itself), so we took sometime to think. A week later after all the medication over, we finally took the decision to go for surgery since medicines didn’t help much (after all it’s for the betterment of our children). Ma’am explained with all the advancements in technology, surgeries are now less invasive and done with Laser. So that gave us a bit more confidence. Finally surgery was done at a doctor recommended hospital and it’s been now 10 days and she is recovering fast.
